Tennis: Grosz USTA tourney winner

Tyler Grosz of Hudson competed in the Eau Claire Superset Level 6 USTA tennis tournament held at the John and Fay Menard YMCA Tennis Center, Sep. 22. Each match was an 8 game pro set. Grosz, seeded number one, won four matches (8-1, 8-0, 8-4, 8-2) to capture the title, defeating two conference foes from Eau Claire Memorial, who were seeded No. 2 and No. 3, in the semifinals and finals to capture the title. Bob Burrows
Bob Burrows has been sports editor at the River Falls Journal since 1996 and at the Hudson Star-Observer since 2009. Prior to joining the Journal, Burrows served as sports editor with Ledger Publications in Balsam Lake, Wis. A native of Bayonne, N.J. and a U.S. Navy veteran, Burrows attended Marquette University before completing his studies at UW-River Falls in 1992.
